It is also suitable for cats and cleans the plaque. Beaphar meat-flavoured toothpaste provides daily protection for your dog’s teeth. It neutralizes plaque and as a result provides fresh breath. Different types of bacteria, together with food ingredients, stick to the dog’s teeth and thus form dental plaque. Beaphar toothpaste, however, contains enzymes that attack bad microorganisms and thus prevent plaque formation. Suitable for all dog breeds! Trienzyme protection: in addition to the enzymes protease and glucose oxidase, Beaphar tooth gel and spray also contains a third enzyme – amyloglucosidase. This enzyme breaks down food debris to glucose more quickly (with toothpaste this happens naturally) thus speeding up the action of glucose oxidase. 1/ Protease – works against plaque formation by preventing the protein structure from turning into Calcium and then into tartar. 2/ Amyloglucosidase – converts starch from food residues into glucose, which acts as fuel for the third enzyme glucose oxidase. The third enzyme further assists in the conversion of starch to glucose more efficiently than toothpaste, where this occurs naturally. 3/ Glucose oxidase – converts glucose into hydrogen peroxide, which kills the bacteria responsible for plaque development.
