La Cayetana is the project of Emilia Soler, wife of Eduardo Soler of Ver Sacrum. She makes these amazing wines in her converted garage! Fruit from very old vines in a historic vineyard. Fermented in a concrete tank then aged for twelve months in oak with further bottle age before release. Deep ruby in colour with good legs. Big, dense black fruit flavour lifted by natural acidity. Good weight on the palate, well balanced oak and fruit with a silky velvet texture, all presented in an impressive heavyweight bottle. This is excellent.
