Aquarium fish are the pets with the easiest care if you are traveling for the weekend or vacation! Especially with goldfish this is no problem. For the weekend or a longer vacation, aquarium owners have a choice: either feed JBL PRONOVO HOLIDAY RED or use an automatic feeder (JBL AUTOFOOD) that is filled with their preferred pelleted foods. Most aquarium fish, with the exception of juveniles, can even manage without food for a day or two – just like in the wild. But many aquarium owners are worried about this and that’s why we offer the JBL PRONOVO HOLIDAY RED for short absences. JBL PRONOVO HOLIDAY RED food blocks are made of a natural calcium compound that slowly dissolves when fish “bite” it. Calcium is useful for many aquariums as it adds some calcium to the water (total hardness/GH). Be careful when asking neighbours to feed your fish! Most people have good intentions, but often overdo it with the food! Large quantities of food then remain uneaten at the bottom of the aquarium and spoil. This leads to serious problems with oxygen levels and toxic nitrites, which then build up. JBL PRONOVO BEL HOLIDAY /WEEKEND or automatic feeder (or aquarists neighbors) are a better solution!
